Parents are always looking for fun things to do with their preschool children that will interest everyone in their family. Fortunately, Burlingame has some excellent activities that are low-cost or free and enjoyable for parents and children alike.
The Burlingame Museum of Pez Memorabilia has a number of exhibits that will enthrall preschool children. From the world’s largest Pez dispenser to the classic toy museum where children can see all the toys their parents used to play with, they will enjoy the museum for a multitude of reasons. The museum is very inexpensive. It may be a good idea to skip the Banned Toy area, just in case your children are impressionable.
Parks, of course, are a fantastic place to take preschoolers, and Burlingame has no shortage of parks for children to play in. Washington Park is a historic site, but preschool children will be much more excited about the playground on the premises. Preschool children enjoy playing in the sandbox, the train, the grass, and the play structure. Parents enjoy the shade.
Mills Creek Canyon Park is another excellent park to visit with preschool children. It is a different sort of park; not one where you can sit and watch your children play while you sip a latte. This is more a little spot of wilderness where you can take your kids to expose them to creeks, wildlife, and nature in general. Preschoolers with excessive energy can burn it off playing at this park with their family.
